So some guy in a Jetta was messin with me on the road. Maybe tryin to get me to race him. By the way, the back of my car is clean, so you can't tell it's a VR6.
So I decided to chase. I figured I'd be on his ass in no time and then let him go. Well, we hit about 120 and he started slowly pulling away. Really slow, but still, he had a 1.8T. It looked totally stock, but maybe it wasn't.
On my end though, I have noticed a minor loss of power. It was suggested to me to add in some Mystery Oil next time I do a change since it has detergents in it and will clean out any build up. Hopefully I'll get somethin back from that and also, my ChkEng light was on which cause a cutback of power for some lame manufacturer reason :(
Even still, I thought I would've had him. I know I could off a line cause my overkill of torque. However, goin from 65 to 120, that torque just isn't enough :(
so lame

You might have a little advantage from a dead start but as soon as he hits 3,000 rpm your toast. stock 1.8T is faster than a stock vr6

I raced a VR6 in my 1.8T W/ Eurosport intake and GIAC chip and he didnt have a chance in the world.

That's not surprising... cause stock, the 1.8T has 10 more hp than the VR6 and your 1.8T had mods... Unless it's that passat you had that one time... then it has the 1.8T 150hp... but with the chip that should put you up there.
