So its turbo?????? Im VERY inrested in buying this off you. But you would have to wait till I get my tax return. Can you wait that long? And would u take 2500 for it? Since that is ur starting bid. lol Let me known ASAP, I live in PA only a few hours from you. So I can have it picked up as soon as I get my tax back.

Nowhere in his ad does it say the car is turboed. It does have the 172hp VR6, but no turbo.

jettadude

non turbo, just has a vaccum gauge and air/fuel to keep an eye on my motor. they can save your ass when something goes wrong it will not only help you pinpoint it but if your running lean you could kill the motor.

I always run my engine really lean ;)

This car has no doubt received quality care while owned by Jettadude

No biggie, Like I said give me a week then I will let u no for sure. I no u said u would pay 50 cent a mile to deliver, but what if I pay for the full amount of gas (u keep recipets) and ur food (keep recipets) then could u deliver it? Im not sure when I will have time to come pick it up. Ur 3 hours away from me.

well if i drop it off im gonna need to pay my buddy for gas, gonna have to feed him to bring me home so if you can cover gas and food for the both of us and stuff then its all good. but i sugest that you make a day trip out of comming to historical bethlehem looking at the car and testdriving it before you make any decisions. theres allot of tourist attractions around where i live. the crayola factory, martin guitars.

Its the same thing as the 96 GL that I have. Expect its a VR6. So I already no how it will drive. Plus Iv already test drove a few VR6's at local dealers that I was looking at. But they all wanted to much. Lol So it should be about the same thing.

Just give me an estimate on gas and food cost.

The GLX is nothing like the GL. Different suspension, different transmission, hydraulic clutch, cable shifter, all around disk brakes, ABS, different weight distribution and the list goes on and on.

Iv also said I have driven a few VR6's local. But they all wanted like 4000 for them. And thats more then I can afford.

1. Cheap
2. Reliable
3. Fast

Pick ONLY 2 of the above.

An older Mark 3 VR6 that has been well maintained and treated well should go for around 4,000. Jettadude's GLX is DEFIANTLY worth what he is asking, don't get me wrong.

All I am trying to say is you can't buy a performance car with over 150,000 miles on it and expect it not to break down. I want you to go into this purchase remembering that this will likely cost $500 - $ 1,500 per year in repairs from sudden break downs. Old / high mileage VR6s should only be owned by a mechanic that is willing to work on it frequently.

So your telling me its not worth my time or effort to buy it, because over the yr it will break down and cost me anywhere from 500-1500 to fix? MY Gl broken down, and I fixed it for only 300 bucks.

jettadude
02-05-2007, 02:34 PM
well i wouldn't say that it is going to cost you that much every year. ive owned it for 2 years and didnt' put really any money in repairs into it.

Its 500 bucks because the auto tranny is going bad, but I have a 5 spd and all the parts I need to convert it over. :p
