can an O2 sensor be cleaned?

I don't have a tip, just a question...

I wanted to try and clean my o2 sensor since it costs $190 for a new one. one guy told me electronic cleaner... i doubt that though

another told me throttle body cleaner. i trust that more, but i also read somewhere you cant clean em with anything and it'll mess them up and i dont want it to be even worse.

i trust you guys more than some random at autozone :wink:

any suggestions?


ps I havent raced yet; it's later today and i'll let ya guys know the outcome. my cars runnin awesome today too :D

you can clean it with CRC but your just gonna find that its easier to replace it because you gotta clean it too often. Sure the BOSCH platinum stock ones are 190 bucks but you can find one of equal quality for 100.
