Sucks, pretty much enough said...
Trying to get anything done with a car that has a deceased person on the title is a real pain in the ass!!!
Down with beaurocracy!!!

It's for my mom's Rav4. My sister's in charge of the estate, so she has to sign off on everything. Since I have more free time, and in a better car market, she's trying to sign the title over to me. However, just when we think we've covered all the paperwork (my sis and I live about 100 miles apart so we try to plan things out), the DMV whips out. . . ANOTHER FORM!!!! It's just another nonsensical form, especially since my sister signed and notarized the title. So now I get to play the snail mail game  Just a royal pain all so I can turn around and sell the thing.
P.S. Anyone in the market for a '99 Rav4 L w/leather? Only 34k miles (which is just broken in as far as toyos go)

My grandma has a 1992 Mercedes with 14,000 original miles on it! she drives it to albertsons once every 3 weeks.

So yesterday, I finally have all the paperwork to get the title signed over. I pay the fees, get everything taken care of, and I'm home free, right?
WRONG!!!!
After all the crap they pull on me, someone transposed a number on the VIN in the title application. So I got to spend an hour this morning trying to get it corrected. I finally get the title looking like it should. The worst part? They tacked on a "duplicate title" charge, so I payed to correct their mistake.
Anger fading, fading, fading, rising! fading, fading, gone.[/i]

Bueracracy! I hate it.... When I got the rabbit registered, they gave me a year sticker that had the incorrect serial number on it.... To make a long story short, I had to pay for another document fee a a result of this, I obviously refused, and said: "Hey! You are going to process this for free, or else I am just going to use the old sticker you guys gave me. I've done nothing wrong, and I can show proof that you gave me this sticker if necessary... So some dude from the DMV called and made a sincere apology... Damn govt. :x
