Okay, today i was drving down the road and a TIGHT 20th anniversary gti pulled up next to me, i looked at his car he looked at mine and we did the "nod" and talked for a little while at a red light...

After this happened i realized that this happens to me all the time, whether we chat or just do the nod like we somehow know each other somehow! i never see honda drivers doing that and when im in my friends honda's they don't do anything like that. does this happen to anyone else? do VW owners have some kind of special bond cuz we have a vw surrounded in a ricer world?

just more car people drive VW's (drivers wanted) than honda's...
just picture some mom with a car full of kids giving the nod, it just doesnt work...
Buddy with his Datson 510 gets/give the nod any rare time he sees another 510, so.. it all depends

I did it with a honda driver once... I revved my engine... He said "I think you have a better engine than me" I said "I think your right". I also said.... "It's also bone stock... You think you can beat me?" He did his little peelling off thing, whilst I just slowly let off the clutch... Didnt even chirp my tires, and I kicked his ass into no tommorow.

i always give the nod to fellow dub drivers. it gives me something to do at a light while waiting.
i've even gotten a couple compliments on having a nice car from other company car drivers, because the car they want is a dub. it's kinda cool.

My friend does it alot in his jeep....and i only nod to a few fellow a1/a2 people in greenville...i dont nod at beaters.

Havent talked to another VW owner yet, but I do notice people looking at the car. Haha one night I was at the supermarket buying some food and when I get back there are some kids standing by their car which is 1 parking spot away from mine. I start my car and just saw all of them look over at is as if why in the world does his engine sound so weird.
