VW Rado VR6

Ok guys, maybe it is not the right place for this, correct me if I am wrong...

I am looking for a VR6 corrado, I saw a couple of them in Europe some months ago and they're freaking nice.

I am in Laredo Texas, very rare to see one over here, tried over the VW dealer (obviously to get advice in used ones or contacting some one selling his/her corrado).

I heard there's a turbo version and a VR6, probably 92 or newer....

Any advice concerning where, what to look and aprox. price???

The are two versions... One is called the Corrado SLC, this is the VR6 version. The corrado G60 is a supercharged version. It has a 1.8L 8V engine which utilizes the belt driven G-Lauder. (in German, lauder means charger) Turbo kits are readilly availible for the G60 as a conversion, if you decide to go turbo.

Corrados are very rare. It is very hard to find one in decent shape for a decent price... Dubnet is great for information, but VWvortex.com is better for classifieds... Here is the corrado classified section:

Check it out. You will probably have to travel some distance to find one that is in good shape.

I would also keep your eye on local classifieds. You might also try www.autotrader.com, www.cars.com or even check ebay motors: motors.ebay.com

If I were you i'd go with the G60... they are really fun ( and a lot cheaper ) to mod and get better gas mileage. Not to mention much easier to find.
