Been watching SpeedTV this weekend, watching F1 racing. . . 19k RPM on an engine that two people can carry just boggles me... F1 racing is soooo much better than Nascar!

Been watching WRC as well. . . Wouldn't it be cool if VW could put together a rally racer?

Thoughts anyone?

Ummm lol VW does have a Rally car.

Better than nascar? No way. Nascar is WAY better than ANY ralley, F1, or any **** like that will ever be.

Hmm, let's see here. . . Rally races have courses difficult enough that they have navigators in the car to go through the course...

F1 cars (and drivers) run courses that put them through 3 g's in the corners, and up to 5 g's while braking. Plus their pit times are 10 seconds faster than NASCAR.

Rally cars do better than 100 MPH on dirt roads, while F1 cars hit speeds faster than NASCAR cars do on mundane tracks.

The kicker. . . Both Rally and F1 races require that the drivers can negotiate RIGHT hand corners, and in addition F1 drivers have to be careful that they don't hit the other drivers, since collisions do serious damage to more than sheet metal.

In short, Rally and F1 have better vehicles, technology, and drivers. How can you say that NASCAR is better than BOTH Rally and F1? All NASCAR drivers do is make left hand turns all day long while getting into pileups :twisted:

I must concur with e1over, F1 and Rally are 10000x more challenging than NASCAR and I like to watch NASCAR...F1 and Rally are so much more fun to watch...Also, European Racing(when I say ER i refer to touring cars/series) I like alot more than Nascar...

well i got to agree with diesel. im a nascar fan. there is alot more then just making left turns. there is alot of driving skills involved to handle those cars and to manuver. i still like F1 and ralley but i prefer nascar.

I am content to be the black sheep here. I am an NHRA fan. I really get off on the top fuelers. The funny cars, especially. You can't beat the adrenaline rush!!

man nascar is lame, those peice of !@#% cars are made to go only in one direction. those peice of @#$% stock cars are all engineered to handle best in one direction thats why all the tracks are going in the same direction (oval, circular, ect.... Nascar is for the cheap a** hicks who dont know wut a real race car is...well i dont kno wut im saying right now but i do kno nascar sucks hands down. F1, grand touring, and rally is not only some of the most challenging but also some of the most skill requisite racing types out there. Even formula 3 racing is better than nascar. ive driven a stock car and F3 and it doesnt even compare.

no to bash on any style of racing because it all takes skill even lawn tractor racing LOL but i prefer F1 to nascar 8)

LOL those who know me probably won't be surprised that I don't watch either. With a maximun of 1 hour of TV a week, it defintly isn't spent watching races.

However, based on the above arguements, I would have to say that lawn tractor racing is clearly the best. Seriously though, I think rally is my favorite.

btw to e1over... there is sort of a VW WRC team... it's essentially the Skoda team without the budget of a bigger name team like Ford, Soob or Mitsu...

I prefer "Canyon Carving" myself. Basically having the ability to corner like mad and accelerate when there are no twisties. R32........ I want one.

Nascar's okay, F1's better, but LeMans is where it's at.

The Jetta was actually just there for show (They're probably a little outclassed, unfortunately), but I only have this one pic. I do have pics of some sweet Audi A4s and a Ferrari Enzo.
