So Monday I had to drive to Logan (about 90 mins drive north) to look at a job were doing. I get off the freeway at 6200 on I-215, and come to a stop. The light turns green, I go to shift into 1st (I was in 4th at the time), and the stick wont move. So i slip the 3-week old clutch like a madman, trying to get the van going.

Long story short, my trashmission is dead, i can get a used one from the JY for 250, and im planning to tear into the current 'box to see a) whats really in there, and b) if its fixable. Ill post pics soon.

I was speed shifting while racing an isuzu, and I blew out the syncros for my 3rd and 4th gear in my jetta... that was a few weeks ago... What the crap is going on with all the tranny issues?
