Well,
Due to some changes in plans for this car, I have decided not to build this car and decided to sell the awesome motor I have built for it. This is about as good of a 8v built as you will find anywhere, so if you dont want to spend a year putting it together, have a professionally race built engine for a lot less than you built it yourself for, this is the one. Built for a turbo project Im not going to have time for. This was built be the best race engine shop around, and I really really hate to see it go. Look no further for a totally rock solid 8V turbo motor.
Engine basics:
-96 ABA 2.0L Bottom
-JH 8V head
-ABA 2.0l forged crank
-Powedercoated intake portmatched to:
-Audi larger throttle body
-Also have a new EIP performance fuel pump for it.
The goodies, top to bottom:
-G GRind Cam
-TTT undercut stem larger valves
-TTT performance springs, keepers and guides
-TTT BLue adjustable cam sprocket
-TTT Thick head gasket
-Block bored .020 over
-JE Forged pistons, JE Rings and Pins
-Pauter Rods ( Yes, the $800 rods)
-New perforance bearings of course
-New seals, stem seals, timing belt, belt tensioner, water pump
-New whatever else it took to finish assembly.
The Work:
-Head mild to slightly moderately ported, clearanced for larger cam
-3 angle racing valve grind
-block clearanced to clear larger rods
-All block rotating assemblies balanced
-rods and pistons balanced to exact equal weights, end weights matched.
-Pretty blue paint.
Total cost to build, with papers: $5010 ($2190 just in labor )
Price: FIRM: $3799
PLease contact me if interested, it is in SLC Utah, but I can deliver within a few hundred miles. I will place it on a shipping palette if you want to arrange shipping.
Terms:
Cash, cashier's check, money order, personal check or other guaranteed funds. Personal check must be from local bank that will cash it before delivery is made.
Shipping: You can arrange shipping and I will load it into their truck, Pickup preferred.
See it in person: Yes, if you are ready to put a cash deposit down at that time. Im sure there's nothing in person that you would find to make you not want the engine.
I hate to se it go, but unfortunately time and othe family requirements preclude me from being able to finish this baby. I'll even throw in the 84 GTI it was meant for. ( missing the intake, but otherwise rund and drives great)
Here is a link to the gallery of the images for the engine, turbo and turbo manifold already sold, sorry.
