I got some new tires for the rims... I did TONS of research and this tire is amazing for everyday use. It's a "summer" tire, so it in no way considered a snow tire, but it does handle water very well. The treadlife is the best in it's class of performance. I was looking at polls and studys done on this tire, and out of 45 tested tires, this one came in second place whereas a goodyear tire was first place.

Tirerack.com sells 195/50R15's for 53 dollars/piece, which is really good considering the goodyear was almost double that. I got my tires at a local "Big O Tires" shop, because they could get them for 56/piece. Tirerack sells them for 53, but with shipping it's an additional 8 per tire... That, and the fact that the tireshop discounts the mounting and balancing if you buy 4 from them.... So thast what I did. But tirerack is a good place to do research on tires... and if there is a good tireshop that mounts for cheap, then tirerack may be able to beat their prices... You can get them here:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Fuzion&tireModel=ZRi

You will see that tirerack says this tire's worst quality is the ride noise and ride comfort....

I have to say that I've been using these tires for 3 or 4 days now, and I have NO complaints about the ride or noise. These tires are AWESOME so far... I can't wait till it warms up so I can try out these tires on some warm and dry pavement.

What are everybody's favorite tires?

my buddy has these on his se-r, they are very good for the money. great treadwear so far.

i have goodyear eagle f1 gsd3's for summer, 225/40Y18 i believe. they are very good in water and on the street, but theyre no track tires. dont even THINK about driving in any amount of snow, or really in cold temps at all.

now i have continental extremecontact all seasons for winter, i think they are 195/50R16. they are excellent in rain, and im really pleased with how they do in snow considering that theyre "performance all seasons", i havent had any problems with snow so far this year. dry handling is worse than the f1's of course, less traction and a big softer sidewall make it feel kinda squirelly when driving hard. but overall, i like them alot.

now i just need to get a job so i can tell you about the victoracers i want to get :(

Update:

Yeah... MAJOR suckage in snow. Oh well, they are much much better than the tires I had on there before... If I am not a nutcase, I can keep control of the car very well, but if I try to accellerate to hard, it easilly breaks free... These tires are very good on the water tho...

1. Pirelli P3000-best all-season, 85,000mi warranty, less $$$ than GDY and Michelin, longer warranty than either manf.
2. Falken Azenis(no longer in production)-Best Traction(dry only) for the money
3. Dunlop FM901-Best price for dry, lot of sizes, warranty? good luck.

I have brand new BFGoodrich Touring T/A VR4's, I love them- 80k miles warranty and I've taken on M3's in these things, drifted in the snow, track, the whole schpiel and I wont choose another all-season tire for the money($80)...The treads are so much bigger and they handle so much better than my parents and they drive a 2004 Avalon with Top of the line Michelins...Im running 205/65/R15's on my 2.GO right now...

Cody, if im not mistaken, aren't those the same rims Cory had on his 92 VR6 before he got the new rims? And I heard awesome things about the ZRi's congrats...

and Tis...your F1's were declared the best tire on the market according to Car and Driver a few months ago, kickin' the poop outta every other company and line out there...

I have to disagree about the fuzion ZRi's. I just got them on my mkV gti and they aren't comparable to the potenza's that were on the car... I have found that once they heat up they tend to slide a lot! I have been going around corners and noticed my front end plowing, where as with the pot's they would hardly ever do that.... Not that I am saying your jetta doesn't have much power, these tires in my opinion aren't the greatest with a bunch of torque.......
I would have to say other than the potenza's a great tire is continental contactsport... They are great with lots of torqueee front wheel drive cars.

Having had a chance to test the full life of the Fuzions, I've got to say that I am thouroughly impressed with the tread wear. I think they are an awesome tire for how long they last, the performance you get and the price considered. I know that there are probably 100 billion tires better than this one, but I got these for longevity mostly, not necessarilly performance... after all, this was my daily driver that I was putting on 500 miles/week. Allthough I really did enjoy using them on autocrossing last year. Since I purchased these tires, I have decided that R compounds were the only type of tire to race on... I got some very spendy Hoosiers for racing/auto x, and will probably continue to use Fuzions on the daily driven rims, except for bad winter conditions... These tires SUCK in the snow, but do very well in water.
