Very impressive build. That turbo and manifold are from a 1.6 diesel engine found commonly on 1.6l TD mk2s. As you found out grinding is necessary to make it fit. What kind of numbers are you aiming for? Whats the CR?

Compression is 8.75 to 9 to one, according to the machine shop that did the assembly, overboring and balancing. Also has a thick head gasket and am having TTT build a knock sensor ignition. Has the Volvo 240 dizzy, and I also have a calloway additional microfueler, so shoudl have 200hp at the wheels by the time im done, but im hoping to be able to turn up the boost to get to 250

If you know a hookup for a turbo manifold and downpipe gasket, and the oil drain flange with nipple, let me know.

If you are on vortex IM itchyg60. I just sold him 2 TD engines and I think he is trying to get rid of some spare parts. What is wrong with that turbo manifold that you have? How much boost do you think you'll be running?

200HP in a bunny is going to be insane. Will it be a gutted car or full interior? The rabbit looks good BTW. Any mroe pictures of it?

No t the whole manifold, the gasket between the mani and turbo, and the gasket from the turbo to the downpipe.

What exact years and vehicles did that turbo and manifold come with, it may be easy to get those gaskets if I knew the year and application etc..

Will have the interior, the radio area will house some additional gauges,
Im making a custom rear strut brace that triangluates to the floor area. I need to find some seats for it, as the ones that came with it are lame. I wired in powered SHO seats, but they sit too high on the bracketry I have to make for them. If I could find some nice intact VW seats for them that will attach to the A1 rails I would just rather put some VW seats back in there.

Not sure if I will leave bumpers on it or go with a cabby clipper kit or what with the body yet. will probably leave it plain white, debadge it and just be a plain white body.

Im just wrapping up some little things on a 86 RX7 with Chevy 350 V8 im going to use as a track car, then I can focus on the rabbit.

Cody will correct me if I am wrong but any gasket set from 85-92 should work. If you can't get them in the states I'll buy you on and mail it to you. I can't wait to get my bunny project going, yours is an inspiration to me.
You should get some Scirocco seats, they sit really low. I'd be very interested to see this custom rear strut brace, I was planning on building one for myself as well. I think you should go for the pure stock look on the exterior. I think it would look so clean

The rear brace will go across the top of the struts course, then down from each corner to the bottom, which will house a battery box tray at the bottom in the center.

Any 1.6L turbo diesel should work for gaskets, but if you were to go to the dealer I would probably ask for the gaskets for a 1989 1.6L TD Jetta... You'll definatly get the correct ones if you ask for that.
