I thought it would be cool to start a thread for us all to post up pics of our cars and the progress we have made on them. It can be pretty interesting to see the cars change as time goes on. I'll start:

I don't have enough photos to describe my changes. But my car went from a hardcore beater to a pretty respectable car.

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/before_purchase.jpg
Here's what the car looked like while it was sitting in the BACK of the lot at the dealership. I guess I was the only one dumb enough to buy it.

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/fudged_up.jpg
This was taken not long after I bought the car. As you can see it's quite a bit cleaner without the stickers and crap the previous owners left on it and after a good bath. This was the time when I let a friend drive it, he stalled it and killed it.

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/old_interior.jpg
The old leather that made my car smell "like a granny car".

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/off_road.jpg
Worst day in my car's history. Following a gravel road can turn into your car's first, and only, time off-roading. Burning clutch smells bad.

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/hamster_cage.jpg
Sort-of recent engine shot. Actually I was getting a photo of the headlights before I cleaned the driver's side one out, but I think that may have been after a mild de-greasing.

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/updated_front.jpg
A recent photo, notice the rust on the tip of the hood is gone.

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/ass_end.jpg
Bye bye to the rubber spoiler and the majority of rust that was on the back end of that car. Also bye bye to the badges. There's a mean paint chip on the back though and the dents in the trunk (no idea who the previous owners got those there... hammer maybe?)

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/****pit.jpg
Where the pilot sits. Take notice of the 1/2 leather, 1/2 cloth seats going on. I got them from my parts Golf and they kick ass. Lack support when fun-driving but look better and are more comfortable for normal driving.

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/****pit2.jpg
Dash, wheel, CD deck, etc.

http://cab9.net/sp/jetta/rear_deck.jpg
Where some of the vibrations come from. 5.25" coaxials screwed into the rear deck and the secured amp which powers the 10" sub in the back. Also notice the nicer rear seat.

A hell of a lot of work went into the appearance of this car as well as stuff under the hood (using what little knowledge I have and what mechanics can do when paid enough).
