View Full Version : Running rich, need some advice

ok im running pig rich. i cleaned the MAF with electrical cleaner and a little change with responce and power but im still running pig rich. my fuel economy sucks and i want the power back. my air filter is clean. it could be an 02 sensor but im not tripping any codes. i do have a plan. if i put a chip in. and run cheap gas will it lean me out. i dont' wanna get dentonation but i wanna lean out a bit. or run midgrade. let me know with any help. thanks.

First thing I would check is the oxygen sensor, weather or not codes are tripping... I would also replace the coolant temp sensor (a few bucks)

the blue sensor right?
but which o2 sensor? the upstream or the downstream? and i have a downstream sensor spare and i use that for upstream?

Not sure about using the lower for the upper... I would check bently. Pretty sure the lower sensor just tells the ECU if the cat is working... pretty sure the upper sensor is for the fuel injection... And yes... The blue sensor.
