This is the sequel to my thread "The Big 200"... Here she is in all her glory. Runs like a champ, and still pulls hard as hell! I love my car.

You know what... I seriously was waiting for somebody to say something about this.... Or the how low the temperature gauge was, or that I would be needing gas soon... hehehe

It's also idling pretty high compared to mine :wink:

No... I just replaced all the gaskets and did the clutch. That and 2 CV joints, and that's the only thing I have done to it.

Yeah.... they didnt last long after this.... Had to replace the cluster about 1,500 miles after this.... Now it only says 117,000.... The cluster had just over 100,000 on it, so My car has approx 217,000 on it now.... Still pisses me off... :evil:

well the low temp gauge explanes the high idle people. ever hear of cold start? ha! what now! lol :lol:

thats about normal idle for my car. :D warm up is like 12-1300

really? yea my b5 1.8t idles high as well. my vr is at 700-750.

Diesel they can recode it to the right mileage at the dealer with the scan tool... i can call a friend for you tho and ask him the measuring block to go to; to manually change the value....

wow! 200+eh? I'm new to the diesel world, I bought a golf mk3 td last week. V.nice car all in all. 81k on the clock I was just wondering is it wise to change in the high revs say 3400 or should i treat it nice n keep the revs low idk! :D

That 200k was in my gas jetta... You should get twice as many miles out of a well maintained diesel... :D
